About Me

Allow me to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Jason, a web developer with nearly two decades of experience in the digital entertainment, gaming, and social media space. I've worked on numerous projects with varying levels of success. Some projects, which you will be able to view in my projects section, have gone as far as amassing millions of views per month and generated sizeable profits. I've harnessed the power of social media marketing, top-notch content curation, branding, UI and UX, project management, team building and hiring, and original content creation to grow website traffic and profits that pushed the boundaries of what could be accomplished solo or with a team of just a few.

Professionally, I'm at my best when I get to:

Lead holistic digital initiatives that strengthen brand and user engagement
Build content strategies grounded in data and continuous experimentation
Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, developers, and product team/members
Translate technical opportunities into creative, scalable solutions

I'm particularly excited about opportunities where I can contribute to both strategic direction and execution, whether in front end UI/UX and graphic design, content leadership, or digital product growth.

Please take a look at my portfolio of projects, and contact me if you are looking for someone to deliver exceptional results to your company or brand!

My Projects

ComboVideos.com Project

Combo Videos

Domain: ComboVideos.com
Years Active: 2004-2008
Category: Gaming
Status: Offline

About: Combo Videos served as a revolutionary hub granting gamers access to popular fighting game videos popularly referred to as "combo videos". Was able to modify a CMS to build a loyal niche community, including commenting capabilities on multimedia posts, and a full-blown forum. Combo Videos became a household name within the fighting game community.

ItsFunnyHoney.com Project

It's Funny Honey

Domain: itsfunnyhoney.com
Years Active: 2005-2007
Category: Humor / Entertainment
Status: Sold

About: It's Funny Honey (itsfunnyhoney.com) served as a wholesome, humorous website for rated G humor for all ages. Starting as a fun project to make my girlfriend at the time laugh, I decided I had the chops to turn it into a full-scale website for the masses. I created a custom logo to match the domain name and G-rated brand. The site was a commercial success and I was able to sell for profit within a year after launch to move on to the next project.

EPIC FAIL Project

EPIC FAIL

Domain: epicfail.com
Years Active: Website - 2008-2014   Facebook Page - 2013 - Present
Traffic: 100,000 unique daily visitors
Category: Humor / Entertainment
Status: Active 1.5M fans on Facebook platform

About: One of my proudest creations in my portfolio, I popularized and trademarked the term "Epic Fail" within the entertainment online space. Grew the site using paid targeted traffic, traffic trades, newsletters, and through awesome daily uploads. Hired an employee who was also a viral contest specialist to assist in finding epic fail related videos, to keep up with the rising demand for 'epic fail' content. At its peak through steady consistent multi-daily updates I was able to grow the site to 100,000 unique visitors a day. The site had user-moderated submissions and a passionate fanbase.

YouShare.com Project

You Share

Domain: youshare.com
Years Active: 2006-2010
Traffic: 5,000 - 25,000 daily unique visitors
Category: File Hosting / Sharing
Status: Sold

About: Purchased a file hosting service and was able to work on getting it traffic. Created a custom logo and was one of the first fully ad-free file hosting websites. Worked with a developer to create a fully in-house custom CMS for user uploads. Hot on the heels of YouTube craze when it was first starting out, I was attracted to the potential and high brandability of the service. The goal was to grow the traffic and have a successful exit, which I eventually did, but not at the scale that was originally anticipated.

Damn.com Project

DAMN!

Domain: damn.com
Years Active: 2014-2018
Traffic: Average 75,000 - 300,000+ unique visitors a day (max record of 3 million visitors in a day)
Category: Viral Entertainment / Inspirational Media
Status: Sold

About: Acquired the domain for 5 figures and launched it originally as the world's first viral search engine. When that idea didn't gain traction, I quickly pivoted to rebranding the site as a viral media content hotspot. We focused on inspirational and heartwarming content which quickly went viral on Facebook (such as soldiers surprising their families during holiday vacations). I quickly expanded to include feel-good humor and worked side by side with YouTubers crafting 100% original content in the form of social experiments, funny pranks, and skits. During its prime, damn.com grossed low 7 figures in revenue and over 20 million unique visitors in its total run. Additionally, its Facebook fan page amassed over 1 Million followers. Later on, the domain was acquired.

Amassed a network of over 3 million fans across 5 different Facebook pages. Deployed traffic from Animal Network to in-house and 3rd party websites.
